Staci Scott

Staci Scott began her
formal dance training at the age of three with Reston Institute for
the Arts. Through elementary, middle, and high school she performed
countless dances with and for Ms. T. While attending South Lakes
High School she joined the Essence Dance Company also lead by Ms.
T.
Staci graduated from George Mason University with Bachelors of Fine
Arts with a concentration of dance. While at Mason she learned many
types of dance including modern, ballet, jazz, tap, Indian, Asian,
African, and hip hop, Afro- Caribbean, and salsa dance. She was a
member of a select group of dancers chosen from the GMU dance
company to perform at various Fairfax County Schools. These
performances helped to expose children to dance and teach them that
dance is universal and fun and anyone can do it.
After graduation from
Mason in 2002 Staci worked as a manager at Zany Brainy and the Right
Start store, and coached the Langston Hughes dance team. She
currently works at Terraset Elementary School as an Instructional
Assistant teaching autism. Her future plans include going back to
school to receive her masters degree in early childhood education
and continuing to teach and perform all types of dance.
